A felt flat roof at the end of its life, leaking again
A customer in Kegworth came to JMR Roofing with a flat roof that had reached the end of its life. The existing felt covering was worn out and letting water in, and the brief was straightforward: stop the leaks properly rather than patch them again, and tidy up the look of the property while the team was on site.
The Work
Full strip and a seamless EPDM replacement
The team stripped away the worn out, leaking felt covering in full, clearing the roof back to a clean, sound base rather than overlaying the existing build up. With the deck prepared, a modern EPDM rubber membrane was installed as a single sheet, giving a covering with no joints for water to work into. To finish the job properly, brand new low maintenance fascias were fitted along the roofline, replacing the tired existing boards and giving the property a clean, fresh edge detail as well as better protection where the roof meets the wall.

A watertight roof with a 20 year warranty
The property now has a completely seamless flat roof backed by a 20 year warranty. EPDM is highly durable against heavy rain and UV resistant, so unlike the old felt it will not crack or rot as it ages, and it needs no ongoing maintenance to keep performing. The new fascias finished the transformation, giving the property a clean, fresh look along with the extra weather protection.
